Kansas Leadership Center

To Foster Civic Leadership for Healthier Kansas Communities

Visioneering Health Alliance Leadership Initiative

Visioneering Health Alliance is focused on improving the health and quality of life for all people in the Wichita area. The Visioneering Health Alliance convenes, catalyzes and collaborates to influence policies, environments, and systems that lead to measurable improvement of the health of our residents.  This community health improvement group seeks to achieve meaningful outcomes for the community identified health priorities: mental health, oral health, obesity and diabetes, access and health disparities.

The Kansas Leadership Center is working in partnership with the Visioneering Health Alliance to make a measurable difference in the health of Wichitans. The Visioneering Health Alliance was chosen from 21 statewide applicants for the Kansas Leadership Center’s unique training on civic engagement.

A Leadership Development Opportunity for You

KLC's Visioneering Health Alliance Leadership Initiative will help participants turn the tide on the five health priorities already identified through formal listening: access, health disparities, mental health, obesity & diabetes and oral health. KLC will provide immersion-style, leadership training to build the skills necessary to take these ideas to action over the next few years.

This multi-session program will take place in Wichita on October 21-24 with a second session, three day session in 2014. Participants will be placed in a team to work with a team coach to identify, plan and implement a strategy to make progress on the health priorities.

This program will:
  • Increase your civic leadership capacity to help you make progress on issues you care about most.
