A New Legislators' Program

There are many unforeseen problems that a legislator faces when entering office. Leadership and Legacy in the Statehouse is a unique program designed specifically for freshman legislators that gives them an opportunity to think about and use their position to consciously choose to exercise leadership. As well as learning civic leadership principles, you will have the opportunity to develop personal relationships with fellow freshman legislators before the session begins.

Qualifications: must be newly elected to your first term in the Kansas Legislature (the Kansas House of Representatives or the Kansas Senate).

Dates: December 15 - 17, 2010, plus second gathering in 2011
