The Kansas Leadership Center is excited to announce a new programmatic initiative called Your Leadership Edge: Innovative leadership for you and your community.
Your Leadership Edge is powerful learning experience for people who wish to make their communities better places to live. This is done by developing an awareness of the community’s needs, an exploration of personal leadership capacity and a framework for exercising civic leadership.
This program will be in three communities in 2011: Parsons in May, Manhattan in June, and Garden City in August.
This program boasts the unique opportunity to go through a highly impactful experience with up to 100 fellow community members. The program consists of three sessions within a month time span. Sessions include a leadership assessment, an exploration of the KLC framework and a session to explore the context and issues of your community.
This top-notch leadership development program promises to increase the leadership capacity of participants and increase the likelihood of progress on deep daunting issues.
Those familiar with The KLC know that we place a tremendous value on place-based programs like Leadership Parsons or Leadership Manhattan. We have a yearly summit for community leadership programs in the state. This program is not meant to compete with this initiative but provide an additional opportunity for communities to attend a powerful learning experience.
